3320 N. 2nd Street Building Retro-commissioning Project:
A three-story Medical office building performing out-patient clinical operations was retro-commissioned to provide proper environmental conditions which had degraded over the last ten year period. This project began with a Test and Air Balance of the existing chiller and air handling units documenting the "as operating" conditions. From this information, a design scope was established to be able to deliver the operating temperatures and humidity conditions required by the occupants.
The Client's perception began as a request for additional chiller capacity. Based on the information gathered in the Test and Balance report, the Client was shown that upgrading the air handling equipment would bring the building environment into the desired conditions without adding equipment capacity.
Microchip Technology VOC Abatement Project:
Microchip manufactures Microcontroller and Analog Semiconductors. For the production of these devices, sophisticated mechanical systems are required to be utilized. An important environmental consideration of one of these systems is the ability to remove VOC's (volatile organic compounds). RJ Ghan Engineering provided the necessary design for the installation of a VOC Abatement Oxidizer.

Qwest Scottsdale Operation Center Chiller Replacement:
Qwest Company Operation Facility located in Scottsdale, Arizona utilizes multiple air-cooled chillers for manufacturing chilled water to be used for heat removal from the installed Owner's valued equipment. RJ Ghan Engineering, Inc designed the construction documents for an eveergy saving replacement chiller to reduce Owner's energy related costs. Additionally, through the business relationship with Arizona Public Service Energy Conservation Division, RJ Ghan Engineering, Inc. secured an energy rebate of $10,000 to the Owner toward the purchase of the new chiller. From the rebate and yearly energy cost savings, the Owner realized a Return on Investment approaching 20 percent (ROI – 20%).
Crane Elementary School District Third-party Commissioning:
Crane Elementary School District awarded a contract with RJ Ghan Engineering, Inc. to provide commissioning services as a third-party, independent, professional service company. The school district instituted a district wide energy conservation upgrade to 11 elementary schools in Yuma, Arizona.
